[Read] ➬ Love on Beach Avenue (The Sunshine Sisters, #1) Author Jennifer Probst – Avshao.info
I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review Avery Sunshine might not have a soul mate of her own, but she still believes in happily ever after for her clients Making dreams come true is her business at Sunshine Bridal, which she runs with her two sisters When her best friend announces her engagement, Avery is thrilled to take charge of the giddy bride to be s big day Less thrilling Her best friend s arrogant and demanding brother, who just so happens to be the man of honor.Carter Ross s first instinct call 911 He promised to always take care of his impulsive little sister, and he honors that vow Even if it means taking over her wedding, where he is sure Avery will fail At best, Avery is unpredictable At worst, if she s anything like the spitfire of a college girl he remembers, the main event could run wild. With Avery and Carter wrestling for control, tempers heat up So does the spark of attraction they re fighting with every kiss As the wedding draws near, it s time to reconcile a rocky past and make a decision that could change everyone s lives Because what they re rebelling against looks a lot like love.I have found a new favourite author and I am not even mad about it This book was so addictive and I could not put it down once I started it The writing was amazing and the story was captivating from start to finish I have a real love for stories about wedding planners and them falling in love Something about it just makes my heart melt.I loved the fact family plays a big part in the book and how sometimes it can hold you back without it even meaning to I loved all the characters and I can not wait for a book about the other 2 sisters and how they fall in love because they just have to I ended up rating this book 4.5 stars and it was exactly what I needed to read and I know I will be going out and buying a lot of Jennifer Probst books I would suggest any romance readers who love Jill Shalvis and Rachel Gibson would love her books as much as I did. ARC received for an honest reviewYou know when you pick up a JP book you are going to get heartfelt, wonderful story that you are going to fall in love with. And I did with Love on Beach Avenue though it took me a while to warm up to Carter just like it took Avery to Sheesh that man was frustrating I mean, what could be better than a wedding planner who wants nothing but to fall in love, and a man who doesn t believe in love You know that there are going to be sparks We knew that we would get our HEA, but boy it was a bit rough getting there for our lovelies.Someone must have been cutting onions near me at times too, as there was definite eye leakage at times. We have a wonderful cast of secondary characters, and I cannot wait for you to meet them, especially Lucy and Zoe.I am really looking forward to Avery s sisters to get their stories I think I know who they will be with, but can t wait to see how the tales go. True Love Is In The Details For The Jersey Shore S Premier Wedding Planner In This Heart Swooning Series About Big Dreams And Happy Endings From New York Times Bestselling Author Jennifer Probst Avery Sunshine Might Not Have A Soul Mate Of Her Own, But She Still Believes In Happily Ever After For Her Clients Making Dreams Come True Is Her Business At Sunshine Bridal, Which She Runs With Her Two Sisters When Her Best Friend Announces Her Engagement, Avery Is Thrilled To Take Charge Of The Giddy Bride To Be S Big Day Less Thrilling Her Best Friend S Arrogant And Demanding Brother, Who Just So Happens To Be The Man Of HonorCarter Ross S First Instinct Call He Promised To Always Take Care Of His Impulsive Little Sister, And He Honors That Vow Even If It Means Taking Over Her Wedding, Where He Is Sure Avery Will Fail At Best, Avery Is Unpredictable At Worst, If She S Anything Like The Spitfire Of A College Girl He Remembers, The Main Event Could Run WildWith Avery And Carter Wrestling For Control, Tempers Heat Up So Does The Spark Of Attraction They Re Fighting With Every Kiss As The Wedding Draws Near, It S Time To Reconcile A Rocky Past And Make A Decision That Could Change Everyone S Lives Because What They Re Rebelling Against Looks A Lot Like Love Love on Beach Avenue is a cleverly plotted enemies to lovers story about Avery, a wedding planner in business with her two sisters, and Carter, the brother of her best friend It is flirty, sexy, steamy, funny and sensitive as these two adversaries come to see each other as adults while planning Carter s sister s wedding The characters come to life through witty dialogue as they try to best each other through a series of bets In short, this book is a joy to readand there are teasers for future books about the sisters I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley Most highly recommend. So we meet Avery and Carter when Avery s bestie who just so happens to be Carter little sister decides she is getting married and she wants Avery and her place of business to do the wedding Carter remembers Avery to be wild and was the one who always got his little sister in trouble and he doesn t think she will be up for that and he wants the very best for his little sister Avery is the best at her job, so when Ally comes along with Carter well he just ruins her day since all he does is judge and she remembers when he looked down his nose at her, of course when they show up it is not the best scenario Carter does seem to know his little sister better than Avery and it seems everything he picks is the right think and that just annoys the heck out of her, but as they spend time together they are noticing different things of each other and find an attraction that they have never had before..Carter looks like he is changing but he has some demons he needs to work on and can they survive with a long distance love affair rcvd an ARC at no cost to author netgalley voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions Opposites attract goodness It s cynic versus romantic in this light hearted opposites attract romance Whenever I start reading a book by Jennifer Probst, I know I m going to get solid writing, complex characters, chemistry, a semi serious tone, and a relationship that s a little messy And this one is no different I wholeheartedly enjoyed the tension between these two as they try to work past their differences, and there were plenty of fun moments that paired well with the shots of angst There were times when I found our hero to be a little overbearing and frustrating though that s all part of the story , and it was kinda somber sometimes, but I enjoyed it the whole way through.Essentially, the story follows Avery and Carter, two people who are thrown together while helping to plan a wedding Carter s sister is getting married and Avery was her college roommate, so they ve met before but don t know each other well When Carter met Avery, he got the impression that she s a wild troublemaker, and as a steady, predictable kind of guy, it immediately made him wary Now that they re spending time together and digging deeper, they clash and break down each other s walls until that tension turns to love.Probst is a great writer, so I have no complaints about that The story though predictable at times is interesting and has plenty of depth Avery and Carter s road to happily ever after is messy and emotional at times, but there s also a lot of lightness It s a slow burn with a few steamy moments, and I loved the buildup of intimacy I didn t love the rushed feel of the ending or just how serious our hero is at times, but it didn t detract from my enjoyment Overall, it s a sweet and sexy romantic read that s well worth your time. There is a reason that this author is a bestselling one It is because of her ability to create characters that feel real amidst a story that tugs at one s heartstrings I know that with every new story that I read by her that I can be guaranteed to have my emotions react in a myriad of ways. This story is no different as it takes a wedding planner, Avery, that believes in love and wants it for herself, and a man, Carter, that doesn t It is a case of opposites attract It should be cliche but it is anything but This is because of this author s ability to weave a tale that sucks her audience in I felt like I was along on the ride and was in Avery s shoes I wouldn t have warmed up to Carter very fast either In fact, I didn t I struggled with liking him for her However, my feelings changed as the story progressed Fantastic secondary characters and definitely some future stories could come from this book.If you are on the fence about reading this, or any of the author s previous work, don t be She truly is special. One of my Publishing edits, out 4 7 20 Yikes Unfortunately, I was not a big fan of the hero or the heroine The hero was an asshole through and through, even when he dumped her you know the breakup that happens a chapter before the epilogue I saw nothing really redeemable about him as a romance hero but he seems to be really good with kids and dogs See I for one completely understand that family has a huge impact on your life and beliefs, but that does not give you an excuse to be a dick It just felt unbelievable the way the hero and heroine finally got together, she gave in so easily, like make him work for the shit he has said I just didn t like the heroine cause she never called on his behavior and she had very dumb responses, I would have preferred her having of a backbone but maybe her sister Taylor will make up for it She seemed to have a very good career, I applaud her on that. The 3 stars were for Lucy his dog , Zoe her adorable niece and Taylor who has such an attitude and I love it Also in the next book, it seems that the heroine is going to be a dick so not really looking forward to reading that one. This is an opinion, please do not get offended Love on Beach Avenue was a fun romance It features Avery, a wedding planner, who runs the business that used to belong to their parents, with her two sisters Avery agrees to take on her best friend from college, Ally, as a client, with the wedding quickly approaching in three months.Carter, the older brother who raised Ally after the death of their parents, has always been disapproving of Avery He decides to spend the summer at the beach town where Avery s business is located so that he can make sure she doesn t mess anything up The two do not hit it off well upon becoming reacquainted Carter inserts himself into the wedding planning and contradicts all of Avery s decisions As the two struggle for control of the wedding, they begin to feel an unwelcome attraction for each other.I enjoyed this book and liked the characters My favorite parts were when Carter interacted with Avery s four year old niece, Zoe Those were some very charming scenes I liked the storyline, but did become a bit weary of the competitiveness between Carter and Avery over wedding details Overall, I found the book spirited and entertaining.
